Pioneer SX-424 Stereo Receiver: Tested/Serviced, Working. Phono input +LED's

Description: This listing is for a Pioneer SX-424 Stereo Receiver in very good cosmetic and functional condition. It has been tested and is working. Please note: this model was designed to only light up the meter lamp when AM or FM are selected (pictures are included with the Meter lamp on and off depending on the source selected). A good quality color copy of the product brochure and operating manual will be included. The following outline covers the testing/service done: · All speaker connections have been tested and are working, both right and left channels. · The tuner was tested using a simple wire antenna attached. Both AM and FM stations were received as expected across the radio dial. The dial pointer lamp was replaced and can be seen working in then photos. · AUX and TAPE inputs and outputs were tested and function as expected. · PHONO input was tested and functions as expected. · Headphone jack was tested and is working. · All Switches and Potentiometers were flushed with contact cleaner, followed by treatment with the appropriate DeoxIt treatment. · The faceplate and all knobs were removed, cleaned and hand polished. · The Stereo lamp was replaced with a red LED. It turns on when an FM Stereo station is tuned. · Radio dial lamps were replaced with Cool Blue LED-style lamps. The Meter lamp was replaced with an Emerald Green LED for color contrast. · The Tuning Meter was working at time of testing. · One pair of the original Pioneer Speaker jacks used in this receiver is included. An additional pair of either original or aftermarket jacks can be found on eBay. · Cleaning on all exterior surfaces was done to improve appearance. · The power cord was inspected/cleaned. · Any missing top cabinet or bottom plate screws were replaced · All feet were inspected and replaced as needed. · A final extended use test was performed to ensure functionality The only issue we found with this unit is cosmetic. The last 2 pictures show light scratches on the top edge of the faceplate and a small burnished area on the vinyl wood-look cover. They are easily overlooked and mentioned here in the spirit of full disclose. Please do not bid if you do not accept this condition as described/pictured. Many high-resolution pictures are included, and should be considered part of the description to help you decide if the unit meets your requirements.
