Description: Welcome to Antiques & Moore! This listing is an adorable vintage/antique recast figurine/sculpture of a playful bear, signed Bayre. This bronze figurine has nice details and is an old recast from a sculpture by Antoine Bayre, a famous 19th Century French bronze sculptor (1796-1875). It has a nice size and weight for using as a desk or bookcase accessory. Sculpture is cast bronze but interior is hollow. The figurine is in excellent condition with no noted flaws. It has the "Bayre" signature but as mentioned above, is an old 20th Century recast. Measures almost 4" high, 5" long and 3 1/4" wide. Weighs 2.8 pounds.
