Several key factors point to its authenticity, such as the Nintendo imprint on the backside being the correct typeface/size/weight, the printed number below the logo is the correct typeface/size/weight, the cartridge shell being the infrared/IR shell used by the HeartGold/SoulSilver (and subsequent Black/White 1/2) cartridges, and the cartridge was play tested (new game and with current save data) with all features seeming to work properly.Cartridge has heavy wear; label is missing, minor-moderate scratches to cartridge shell, pins have oxidation/partial corrosion.Nintendo DS cartridge pins in this condition typically are hit or miss when it comes to the system detecting the cartridge. In this case, we used a New Nintendo 3DS XL to test the cartridge. At first, the console would detect the game 5/10 times; however, after using Deoxit on the pins and scrubbing them further with a brush, the cartridge now seems to be detected 10/10 times with improved connection. The pins do have oxidation, so if ever in the future the console begins to not recognize it every time, we suggest using 99% isopropyl alcohol with a brush, or better yet, Deoxit (D formula) on the pins to improve connectivity.
