Description: Post War / late 1940s vintage day dress made of a lightweight polished cotton blend fabric (my best best - there are no content labels) in black & brown check pattern. The short sleeve dress features a fitted bodice with a scoop neckline, darted bust, nipped waist and a slim A-line skirt with tiny pleat detail below the waist and a longer length cut. The dress is unlined and has a hidden rear zipper opening. MEASUREMENTS: No size labels but the label "Tall Gems" were specifically designed for taller women ... the bust measures 36 inches (therefore fits a size 34 bust best), waist measures 28 inches and the hips are free. There is no stretch to the fabric ... as always, remember to leave room for you when using these measurements to determine fit. The dress is 48 inches in length.
