From her bio on Saatchi Art: I was born in Yokohama, Japan, a cosmopolitan port city near Tokyo famous for its international flavor. My formal art training began at age eight with oil painting and Japanese calligraphy. Through painting I explored the realms of color and composition, while my calligraphy master instilled discipline and precision in my brush strokes. At the avant-garde Bunka Gakuin Institute of Fine Arts in Tokyo I studied under Masanari Murai, a pioneering Japanese abstract artist who encouraged my artistic freedom. I strive to create art in which diverse geometric elements are united within a holistic visual universe. In each work my challenge is to achieve a delicate balance, dynamic tension and integration of geometric forms accentuated by evocative colors. My concepts are spontaneous with the compositions emerging in pure, complete form. My motto is Art for Living, which expresses my belief that people need a relationship with art that enriches their daily life, stimulates the imagination, provides comfort and enhances the personal environment. Exhibits include JanKossen Contemporary Gallery in New York City, Gallery K Tokyo, Art Palm Beach, the Baker Museum, Naples, FL, Palm Beach International Airport Gallery, Rockwell Gallery, CT, International Art Expo New York, the Andy Warhol Foundation's IPCNY Gallery and Gallery 2/20 in New York City, Galerie Visconti in Paris, France, as well as Yoseido Gallery and Metropolitan Museum in Tokyo, among others. My contemporary oil paintings and serigraphs have won numerous awards in the U.S., Europe and Japan. Corporate and private collectors from every continent have also embraced my abstract art. International and U.S. media have featured my art, including the Sun Sentinel News, Fox 5 Good Day New York, Studio Visit Magazine, Tampa Bay Times, Japan's Fuji Television, TV Asahi Network and New Jersey Star-Ledger Daily News.
