Description: Original Pre Civil War Mounted Militia Artillery Officer's Sword with brass Scabbard (circa 1820's-1830's). Has a beautiful overall displaying patina. The 33" curved blade is in excellent condition and has some of its original blue color and god motifs remaining. The brass back strap and guard have a matching aged patina. Has the original exotic handle witha few strand ofwire intact but is a little loose from the blade and shows extensive wear from service. The brass Scabbard is complete with the throat, mounting rings and drag. Also comes with an original sword belt drop. Shown w buckle in last pic for reference only. Please see all photos.
