Description: Replica sling for the German Mauser Jaegerbuechse M.1871/84 Jaeger Rifle. The Jaeger rifle has the sling swivel on the bottom of the butt stock not on the front of the trigger guard. The sling is made just like the original German Model following the pictures and descriptions from Paul Pietsch's book on Prussian equipment and uniforms. Made of saddle leather, stitched with natural linen thread in the same pattern as the original. Leather is dyed medium brown, again just like the original slings. Metal is the same pattern as the original. I make the slings myself, from cutting, to dyeing, to stitching. I have been making these slings for over 40 years. Original slings are impossible to find and would be 3-4 times the price of this sling.
