Description: The artist Ernst Wahlert created this caricature portrait of President Lyndon B. Johnson as part of a series of portraits of major political figures in 1968. They were sold as posters. William P. “W.P.” Fowler was a longtime employee of ABC News in Washington where he eventually became a director of “Nightline”. These posters were mounted on a board backing and framed. The Johnson frame had the note from President Johnson’s longtime personal secretary, Juanita Roberts attached. Size is approx 16” x 20”. The portrait has some discoloration and wear… and if held in reflective light, possibly evidence of water running down the front of it. The signature is Guaranteed Authentic. Thanks for looking! :)
