Description: Italian Camping Knife From Maniago: Though its manufacturer is obscured, its origin is not. The crest shows the bottom of the two lines of type reads "Maniago". I sent a photo of this to a knife expert to ask if the logo was familiar to him; all he could decipher was Maniago. Cutlery tradesmen in that city manufacture knives in the old way, as a cottage industry. Specialists make the parts and forward them to an assembly person who finishes and packages them. The brass frame, bolsters, and pins are all solid and square. Blades show minor, shallow pitting. Sprlngs are intact, giving an arrogant walk; and they talk with an Italian accent. The cavity is clean and has no rust. Handles are horn; front has small scuffs and back has a notable crack. I coated both handles with spar varnish to prevent deterioration and loss. The knife feels like a solid tool, but you decide if you want to use it or just admire it like a Lamborghini. And send it flowers on its birthday, you pig! Mailing only to USA-48. Postage is usually between $5.00 and $6.26. Buyer pays $4.00, I will pay the rest. Please see my other knives and save postage. I am liquidating my entire collection; please keep me in your favorite sellers, watching for Old Bryan's Old Knives or the seller name below.
