Description: One of a KindChristmas / Winter Folk Art Standing Snowman Doll ~ Adaptation of a pattern by Chickadee Primitives ~ This lovely primitive Snowman is a stump doll - no legs - just a solid body secured to a wooden base for stability. Though he's a large fellow, he's pretty light, about 1 lb 4 oz.. He's approximately 17" tall from the top of his hat to the bottom of his base. ~ Please refer to the last photo in which Snowman is photographed with a Sharpie marker to show scale ~ He was created from osnaburg muslin and heavily stained with walnut crystal ink. His arms are not stuffed and are meant to hang loosely at his sides. His eyes are old mismatched buttons and his nose is a painted, whittled dowel stick. A pretty prim-stitched feather tree is embroidered down his front and is topped with a rusty star. Snowman wears a tattered homespun scarf. His tattered felt hat is removable and is held in place with a corsage pin. He's been lightly glittered and sprinkled with a bit of mica "snow" to further his beautiful, Wintery vibe. Snowman is signed and dated.
