Description: The thing that sets our bowls apart is the FINISH. It's not a "dull wood" finish. We have a special bees wax aging finish that we apply to all of our bowls. It takes an already distressed bowl and makes it look OLD and WARM and very primitive. And it STAYS that way for the life of the bowl. It is smooth to the touch and it is beautiful. THIS ONE has been DISCOUNTED! And if you can live with a couple of imperfections you can take advantage of a BIG price break!. The two imperfections are: ONE: The bowl sits perfectly flat, however it has a slight twist to one end. And what that means to YOU is that ONE side of one end has a slight dip to it. The bowl sits 2 1/4" high all the way around except for ONE end. And on that ONE end it sits 2 1/2" high on one side & 2" on the other. Again, the bowl sits perfectly flat. It just has a little bit of a twist on that one end. It's not something glaringly obvious, but I know it's there.....and therefore you should too. The SECOND "imperfection is a slight split to the wood on the upper edge of one side in the very middle on the lip of the bowl. You would never even notice this one if I didn't point it out to you. And I applied wood putty AND super glue before waxing and buffing the area. However, it's an imperfection so we mention it to be 100% accurate. PLUS, it justifies the price break. Other than that, this is a Beautiful bowl with great carving marks, color inclusions.....and it's Heavy too! It takes Rick about a WEEK to finish a big piece like this. EACH of our bowls are Completely Unique. You can see the wonderful rasp marks in the wood from the carving process. Rick leaves those in there to attest to the authenticity of the hand hewn process. Beautiful finish has been repeatedly finished and distressed with our special bees wax to achieve a wonderful Aged look. And BECAUSE of the distressing/waxing process these are NOT suitable for rolling dough or storing raw foods (but great for foods with peels and shells OR other holiday decorations). Measures OVER THREE FEET LONG at 38" inches. It is 11" Wide and stands approx. 2 1/4" tall (remember, it's a HAND carved piece). HEAVY at OVER SEVEN POUNDS! The piece you SEE is the EXACT one you will Receiv
