Description: All games are brand new in original shrink wrap. Railways of the World (2009) is the new edition of the base game for Eagle Games' popular Railways of the World series, first published as Railroad Tycoon in 2005. It reimplements the original game with several improvements.Revisit the early days of the Age of Steam as you begin with a locomotive (the venerable John Bull, the first locomotive to run in North America) and a vision (your Tycoon "mission" card). From there, build your budding railroad network into a vast empire. Connect New York to Chicago, earn the most money, develop bigger and faster locomotives and maybe even span North America and build the Transcontinental Railway!Multiple expansions featuring different maps are available. Railways of the World is the new base game for the system and includes the engine placards, railroad tiles, train tokens, money, bonds, and other items that are needed in almost all the Railways of the World series. A gameboard depicting the eastern half of the United States is included in the base game, as well as a mounted map of Mexico. The included game is the 10 anniversary reissue of this game. Railways of the Western U.S. (2010)Railways of the Western U.S. is an expansion for Railways of the World. Designed by Rick Holzgrafe, this expansion map uses the score track, pieces, tiles, money, trains, bonds and rules of the original game, but comes with a new map, featuring the Western half of the United States. The basic mechanics and gameplay of the original game are unchanged, as players build track and deliver goods to increase their income and earn points, but the expansion also includes new pieces and rules. These extras may optionally be used with this expansion as well as with the base game and all other expansions. This expansion is also compatible with Railroad Tycoon. Railways of North America (2013) Railways of North America expands the basic game of Railways of the World (ROTW) to Canada and requires a copy of the base game to play it. Fans of the series will be happy to see new features and an advanced map designed specifically for this expansion.Designed for 2-5 players (but best with 3 or 4) this map has been in development for over a year! This new Canadian map introduces new features – Mines and Ferry Lines – using cards that start out on the table from the onset and can be claimed anytime (just like Railroad Operations cards) for the right price! Railways of Great Britain (2013) Railways of Great Britain is a slightly redesigned reprint of the out-of-print Railways of England and Wales.Railways of Great Britain is an exciting new expansion for the Railways of the World board gaming system, featuring a board of Great Britain! You will need the pieces from Railways of the World (track, city tiles, bonds, money, empty city markers, trains and first player marker) to play Railways of Great Britain. It is mid-19th century Great Britain. The tramways that first appeared to transport coal have since been upgraded to railways. Numerous different companies (using different railway gauges) have connected to villages, towns and cities across the country. Invest wisely and guide your railroad to financial success as you take control of the Railways of Great Britain. Railways of Australia (2022) In the late 19th century, railway expansion across Australia suffered from inconsistent rail gauges as the colonies could not agree upon a standard. This lack of planning meant that different rail gauges must meet up at a station for passengers and cargo to switch from one line to the next before continuing on their journey. This break of gauge creates new challenges in rail line efficiency and new headaches for aspiring Rail Barons! Railways of Australia is an expansion map for Railways of the World, designed for 2 to 6 players. You will need the pieces from the Railways of the World base game or the Railways of Nippon base game to play it.Railways of Australia is a large 2-6 player map. This map has several unique features: a new terrain type - towns; region borders; and rebound Railroad Operations cards. When built, a town becomes a Gray New City on the map. There are also Railroad Operations cards that automatically build each of the 10 towns on the map. Players cannot build across region borders unless connecting through a city, or using a 'Triple Gauge' Railroad Operations card. This expansion includes junction track tiles for use with the Switch Tracks mini expansion. These new track tiles display the 2 lines coming together in each configuration. Switch tokens are also included so that players can use the Switch Track mini expansion right out of the box. Railways of the World: Event Deck (2011) The Railways of the World: Event Deck can be added to the Railways of the World base game or any of that game's expansions to put a new spin on rail-building. To use the deck, create space for these card stacks near the game board: Event Deck, Future Event, Current Event and a Discard Pile. The Event Deck includes more cards than players will use during a single game, so no two games will play out the same way.Instead of drawing randomly from the deck, players can build their own custom decks, from a vicious deck packed with negative events to a bountiful deck filled with positive events. The deck can be tweaked for each of the expansion maps, and four blank cards are included for players who want to create their own events. Railways of North America: The Golden Spike (2019)A deck of 22 created for those who want to play The Transcontinental edition (the combination of Eastern US found in the base game and the expansion Western US) of Railways of the World. It contains 6 overview cards with on the back 4 new major lines (with each a city on as well the eastern as the western map), 4 service bounties and 12 baron cards. The cards all have a 'Golden Spike' icon on them to show that they are part of this set.
