Description: 100% Original 1970s Vintage Automatic Ricoh World Time (Reference 061341 AA) with Day & Date. Unfortunately, vintage Ricoh World Time models (including 061341AA and 61215A) are often faked. There are also many Ricoh “Frankenstein watches” for sale (with many non genuine parts from much less expensive models). This is especially the case for this model as 100% of the 20+ offers seen across online platforms (including eBay & Chrono24) since the start of the year did not have the genuine Ricoh dial. To spot if a dial is genuine, simply check if Sri Lanka is on the map (or not), if the shape of Baja California Peninsula is correct (or not) and if the dot (“.”) after the “D” of “MEXICO D.C.” is printed (or not). See picture. Condition: Fair overall Automatic mouvement is keeping time when wounded. Date quickset (central pusher) and internal bezel (top crown) are working as they should. Dial and hands are in satisfactory condition. Glass has scratches. Since it is in plastic it could easily be polished. Case and crown have scratches throughout and some visible dents (see pictures). Strap (fitting up to a 19cm wrist) is also scratched, especially on the clasp.
