Rare 1930 The Story of the Gingerbread Man~Lawrence~Illustrated Johnny Gruelle

Description: Seller: Alley-Antiques DESCRIPTION: No Reserve. Selling this softback book as is. I think this is a First edition of this book as a softback, but don't know for sure. I have only seen 1 other example exactly like this one, it was in better condition and seller was asking 200.00 due to rarity(that was 10 years ago). I am selling this as found with no reserve. The book is "The Story of the Gingerbread Man". It was written by Josephine Lawrence. Best part of the book is that it was illustrated by Johnny Gruelle(who was the creator of Raggedy Ann and Andy). The book was published in 1930 by Whitman Publishing Company in Racine Wisconsin. Softback. Almost antique. Around 90 years old. Condition fair to poor. Front and back softback cover are very rough with rips and losses and very fragile and brittle. Front and back cover barely hanging onto book and close to coming off. Inner pages in pretty good shape with overall toning. There is a few pages with small corner losses. Some pages with small corner bends or folds. Selling As IS. If you can get past the cover the book is a nice reader. It is a very scarce hard to find. BID WITH CONFIDENCE .
