Christian Sterling Denmark 925 VB Weight: 19.4g Superb and one of the largest sterling and guilloche enamel butterfly brooches by renowned Volmer Bahner of Denmark, I've ever seen. Overall pin is in exceptional condition, with no damage of any kind to enamel and the backside has little to no wear. Enamel is extremely glossy and hard to photograph, please excuse the white lines and reflections. Included with purchase is a converter so it can be worn as a pendant if preferred. Mannequin is a life-size torso representation Volmer Bahner was born in September 1912 in Frederica, Denmark. Bahner was a pupil of Utzon Frank when he graduated from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts School of Architecture, Design and Conservation in 1930. Many of his works are represented in the Danish Museum of Art and Design. Bahner created many works in bronze and ceramic but was best known for is fine modernist and naturalist inspired enamel and sterling silver jewelry.
