Description: This vintage Noritake plate features a beautiful Moriage Willow Pagoda pattern on a pale blue background with an orange and floral border on a square shaped plate. The plate is made of porcelain and measures 10.25 inches in width and 9.5 inches in height. This original hand-painted piece from the early 20th century (1911-1940) showcases moriage finish work and has a glossy finish. The plate is perfect for all occasions and should only be hand-washed. The backstamp is printed and features the Mark: "M" for Morimura in a wreath, crowned by "NORITAKE" and below, "Hand painted" and "Made in Japan". This mark was registered in 1918 and seems to have come in to used in the early 1920's when it was used until the end of the 1930s. It was made using the pottery production technique in Japan. This decorative plate is a very rare find for collectors and enthusiasts alike.
