Description: DESCRIPTION: Rare, original Thunderhead, Son of Flicka one sheet film poster from the 1945 film that starred Roddy McDowall. The poster features a colorized photographic image of Roddy McDowall and a young Thunderhead. Based on the book by Mary O'Hara. The poster measures 27" x 41" and is done on heavy paper. There is a note on back in pen that this was the property of Claude Cline with an address in Prescott, AZ. This was found in his estate. Claude managed/owned most of the movie theaters in Prescott AZ from 1942 until he retired in 1980, including the Elks Theater where "Thunderhead" would have been shown. Condition: This was found among a stack of old posters in the basement of an Arizona movie theater owner's home. There are several pin or staple holes near each corner, and at several places along the top, bottom and side margins. A short tear near the upper left corner. Some spots and handling smudges and dust. Would benefit from being gently wiped down, but I'll leave that to the new owner. See last few pictures for close-ups of most of these issues. The poster will be rolled and mailed in a tube or box.
