Description: Legendary artist Alex Toth loved planes and cars. Many of his best stories during his peak years in the 1970's involved one or the other, or both as in his masterpiece, Bravo for Adventure. This art was clearly the first page of a story about the pivotal Battle of Midway in World War. The second panel showing a war plane crashing onto the deck of an aircraft carrier is extraordinary, as is the bottom image of the pilot leaping out of the downed aircraft above its bullet-shattered cockpit windows. It's a shame Alex didn't finish this one, as it might have stood up well alongside other masterpieces like Burma Sky. The page measures 10" by 15". It is in excellent condition. NOTE: This art is inscribed to me in the space below the bottom panel, I have covered it over in the photo and leave it to the new owner whether it should remain. It is pretty small and done in thin red ink.
