The base metal appears to be silver alloy with white metal plating on front. There is a banner below the eagle with three words but cannot make out the letters except of the last word "Pol...". Measures approximately two inches long and features a "Hold-on" stick pin safety clasp. The coat of arms for Poland has changed many times during its turbulent past. The pin appears to be from the first half of Second Polish Republic formed during the last part of World War I (1918 - 1927). We know it is rare because we can find no example of this anywhere; if you know what the saying is below the Eagle, please let us know.
