Description: This is one unique USMC EGA! I’ve done some research into this and have had opinions from Militaria experts and it’s most likely from the late 19th century to early 1900s. The “US” is consistent with that era, along with the thin metal. The pin was most likely added on later, post WW1 era. And there is still a chance this whole ega was made in the 1930s, to early WW2 era, with an old USMC ega die from an earlier time. In any case it will look BEAUTIFUL on display! It’s a unique and somewhat unusual ega, and was most likely a patriotic sweetheart type of thing, nothing of official military use. It’s in good condition, some wear to the finish has happened, though the gold finish still has a nice glow to it. The pin latches up well. Rifle is secure. Feel free to ask any questions Thank you!
