Description: This listing is for a rare wood grain, hand-painted box produced by the Tsimshian Northwest Coast indigenous peoples. This is finely crafted box, which was illustrated with tribal effigy, including woodland animals, pyramidal designs, and other tribal markings. The Tsimshian people are native to the coastal regions of Brittish Columbia and areas of southern Alaska. The box is in great condition for its age and estimated to be from the early 1900's.
