Description: RARE Vintage 1930's - 40's "EMERGENCY GARMENT" by WOOLRICH MACKINAW CRUISER WOOL Jacket Coat The name says a lot. Great for "Emergencies" then, great for emergencies now. When these rare jackets are found they are often in rough shape, but this one is in excellent condition, especially for the age. Almost positive they were made by Woolrich, so many similarities exist in tagged "Woolrich" jackets. The Mackinaw Cruiser jacket originated over 100 years ago - they're still popular today. This one dates back to the 1930's. Guess that makes it a classic. Never out of style, It's warm, comfortable, and versatile. Features include: tightly-woven wool that sheds water and blocks wind, fully lined body and sleeves, warm adjustable collar with throat closure, warm chamois type flannel lining, many useful pockets, Back "game" pocket provides great stowage - it doesn't need to hold game, it's big and accessible and can hold lots of things! Size is not tagged - but we recommend that you measure an actual garment that fits you well and compare the measurements for the best fit. Measurements are; Chest taken under arms - 48 inches.Shoulders - measured across the back from seam to seam - 19 inches.Sleeve - from collar seam at neck to sleeve end - 30.5 inches.Sleeve - from shoulder seam to sleeve end - 24 inches.Length taken from top to bottom of coat - 30.5 inches.Bottom edge measured all the way around - 46 inches. Condition is very good- excellent - inside and out, especially given the age. It has been very well cared for and very usable. No holes, tears or significant wear. Interior is a warm and comfortable soft chamois-type flannel, and in excellent condition with a large interior pocket. The lining has some watermarks.
