Description: The Yamaha NS-A635A is a vintage speaker model that was originally designed as bookshelf speakers. Note however that it may be big to be considered as a bookshelf speaker. The speaker enclosure measures 11.5" x 10.5" x 16 1/8". The woofer is 8 inches in diameter, the midrange is 4.5 inches in diameter, and the tweeter is 1 inch in diameter. The speakers are 3-way acoustic suspension speakers with vinyl wrapping and dark grey grille covers. The frequency response of these speakers ranges from 55Hz to 20kHz, and they have a power handling capacity of up to 140 watts at 8 ohms. The units were tested and they sounded very good and can handle high volume. The pair easily filled up my basement where I tested. Note: On each enclosure, it will be noticed that there are a couple of holes (possibly used for mounting). I left it as it is instead of filling it up with a mix of wood glue and saw dust which I could have done easily. There were no indications that the holes affected the sound quality and performance.
