Description: Rare Vintage WW2 Era (1941 to 1945) MONOPOLY Game with Wooden Tokens, Hotels & Houses.No. 6 Box with dollar sign ($) in red diamond. Black edges on box.This game with the wooden tokens and box and board labels that do not show the game pieces was only made during WW2 to conserve metal. Some say that this edition was made into early 1946, others say late 1945.The box still has the price tag on the bottom. It was purchased at Kann's Department Store in Washington D.C. for $1.95.The game is complete with the following:Original box with original dividers and single early patent number, Black No. 6.Original board with1935 copyright and single early patent number.Original instructions with 1936 copyright and single early patent number.Seven wooden game pieces (tokens) in orange, red, yellow, green, purple, blue, & black. Parker Bros. used various shapes for the wooden tokens, they were not all the same.Original two dice.Original 16 Chance cardsOriginal 16 Community Chest cards.Original 28 Property, Railroad and Utility cardsOriginal 1935 copyright money (money is not exactly the original amount, there are extra 10s and 100s and fewer 20s, 50s and 500s.
