Description: Real Dinosaur fossil tooth still attached to Piece of Jaw Bone. Tooth is a compression fossil type and is believed to come from the theropod species. Middle Triassic through the Late Cretaceous period 64 million years old!. Weight 19g. Found in United States MI. Fossil type - compression Weight- 19g Found around the Chelsea MI area USA Amazing specimen, and like I say about some of my items, I believe to have some of the most pristine specimens anywhere available. Most fossils available, especially ones like claws and bones are what are called cast fossils. (The skeletons you see in like the movie Jurassic Park). Lol, best way for me to explain. What I have are called compression fossils for the most part. When I remove the rock matrix, it leaves behind as close as the original creature as possible. It's not 100% mineralized and just a cast it's a mix of real bone and stone. When matrix is removed, you're left with specimens like this that are absolutely one of a kind.
