Description: Real-Photo Postcard showing the HMS Venerable, a pre-dreadnought battleship of the London class, a sub-class of the Formidable-class of Royal Navy battleships.-------------She was commissioned in 1902, fought in World War 1, then later sold for scrap in 1920. This is a written-on, but never mailed, standard-sized (3-1/2" x 5-1/2") divided-back, real-photo postcard. (c.1908-1918) It is in good / very good condition, with a slight crease in the lower right; slight scraping, creasing and rounding in all corners; some slight surface blotches (in the emulsion layer?) in the lower left-center; and other minor wear / aging.
