There wer some surface scratches on the top of the cabinet so I lightly sanded them off and put a fresh coat of Danish Oil on it. It now looks great. The one side had a corner ding which I repaired with some plastic wood and then painted it to match the rest of the side. Now you can hardly notice it. Two of the dial lights were out so I repalced all four with some brand new 8 volt fuse lamps. The dial is now lit perfectly. The Glide Path volume controls were scratchy so I used some cleaner specially made for sliding controls. Now they sound fine. I also noticed there was some distortion in one of the channels at higher volumes. I replaced the output transistors with some 2N3055A transistors. I used the 3055A transistors because I have a STA 150 in my living room which I use almost daily. I replaced the outputs in it about 15 years ago with some 3055A's and it has worked perfectly ever since. The receiver now sounds fine, no more distortion at the higher volume levels. The tuner works perfectly, both the FM and AM. Dial pointer turns red to indicate stereo just as it should. This is somewhat of a rare rece3iver. I could only find three currently listed on eBay. One appears to be in good condtion (but not as nice as mine) and is listed as working. It is selling shipped for $249. One has some minor cosmteic issues but is listed as working. It is selling shipped for $150. The last one is also listed as working but the two sides has some major veneer peeling. It is selling shipped for $156.
