It is so colorful with it's reddish colored leaves. This is not a true banana plant but it will remind you of one. This plant is a fast grower! It will grow to 10' tall for most but can reach 20' tall in very warm climates. It is best to grow in part shade but it can grow in full sun. In the south, it's best to plant where the hot evening sun cannot fade out the colors. Note: As the plant matures it will put on the red coloring. Your plant may or may not have the red coloring at time of purchase. Approx. 6 inches tall or taller (actual height and size depends on the time of year)Hardy in zones 9-10If you live above zone 9, dig it up in the fall and bring it indoors for the winter. You can also store it in a location that stays above freezing. The plants you purchase will be shipped bareroot, to save you on shipping, in carefully wrapped moist packaging. Your plants will then be mailed using USPS Priority mail along with planting instructions. It is very important that you open your package immediately and pot or plant your new bananas.
