These have a roper heel and roper toe. You’ll notice there’s a slit cut in the back of the shaft on each boot to accommodate larger calves. This was done before I bought them and as I’ve worn them, I’ve never once felt or noticed those. If anything it’s nice in certain situations because it allows the boot to move a little more freely.
