Ruth Roland vintage 1910s Kromo Gravure Trading Card

Description: ABOUT THIS CARD: Vintage trading card issued circa 1917-1920 featuring early film star Ruth Roland. This is an original circa 1917-1920 Kromo Gravure trading card measuring approximately 2" X 3-3/8" with blank white back. The text "No Border Type" in the title is meant to distinguish this type card from cards in the more standard Kromo Gravure boxed sets--those cards have white borders on each side, while these have no borders, the image extending to the edges. They were issued this way and are not trimmed. While the standard Kromo cards were issued in four different boxed sets of 50 cards each, this no border variety was issued only in one standard box of fifty. This sale is for the single card pictured and in the title only. GRADING - CONDITION: Grades VG or 4/10 with short and slight wrinkle/crease from left edge; light wear along edges and wear around corner tips; some areas of soiling and a light overall soiling best seen on back. Scans show both sides of actual card for sale.
