It was exhibited in London, Cecilia Brunson Projects, Concretos 2020 Corratge studied at the San Alejandro Academy of Art (1949-1950) and at the University of Havana in the Architecture program (1950-1951), but his free spirit did not allow him to complete any of these specialties. His main vocation was directed towards the search for a more liberating pictorial expression; abstraction and in particular geometric abstraction. Although in 1953 he exhibited with the members of the Los Once group, who leaned more towards Abstract Expressionism. Between 1958-1961 he was part of the 10 Concrete Painters group, and he stood out as an important figure within it. His work has had a coherence that characterizes him because from that time until the end of his days he was dedicated to the research and experimentation of a formal line that locates him in Geometric Abstraction. In 2011, with the exhibition organized by the Juan March Foundation in Madrid, Cold America: Latin American Geometric Abstraction between 1934-1973, he was vindicated and legitimized on the international stage for his perseverance in the artistic path, considering himself as one of the most essential figures of Cuban origin in the genre." Fue expuesta en; London ,Cecilia Brunson Projects,Concretos 2020 Corratge curso estudios en la Academia de Arte San Alejandro (1949-1950) y en la Universidad de la Habana, en la carrera de Arquitectura (1950-1951), sin que su espíritu libre le permitiera culminar ninguna de estas especialidades, su mayor vocación era dirigida a la búsqueda de una de expresión pictórica más liberadora; La abstracción y en particular la Abstracción Geométrica; aunque en 1953 expone con los miembros del grupo Los Once que se inclinaban más por el Expresionismo Abstracto. Ya entre los años 1958-1961 integra el llamado grupo; 10 Pintores Concretos y se distingue como una importante figura dentro del mismo. Su obra ha tenido una coherencia que lo particulariza porque desde ese tiempo y hasta el final de sus días estuvo dedicada a la investigación y experimentación de una línea formal que lo ubica en la Abstracción Geométrica. Es el 2011 con la muestra organizada por la Fundación Juan March en Madrid, América Fría: La Abstracción Geométrica Latinoamericana entre 1934 – 1973, el año en que se reivindica y legitima en el escenario internacional su perseverancia en el trayecto artístico, considerándose como una de las figuras más esenciales, de origen cubano en el género.
