This is a rare autographed October 12th, 1961 PREMIERE PERFORMANCE playbill from the Original Broadway production of the JAY LIVINGSTON and RAY EVANS musical comedy flop "LET IT RIDE" which played the Eugene O'Neill Theatre in New York City. (The production opened October 12th, 1961 and closed after only 68 performances.) ..... The musical starred GEORGE GOBEL and SAM LEVENE (both shown in the cover photo) and featured BARBARA NICHOLS, PAULA STEWART, STANLEY GROVER, LARRY ALPERT, TED THURSTON, ALBERT LINVILLE, STANLEY SIMMONDS, DORT CLARK and HAROLD GARY ..... Note: The title page was signed by cast members GEORGE GOBEL, SAM LEVENE, PAULA STEWART and DORT CLARK (second scanned image) ..... Includes a full page ad for the Original Broadway Cast recording of "LET IT RIDE!" on RCA Victor Records (third scanned image) ..... BONUS: The playbill includes a special nine page feature on the legendary artist AL HIRSCHFELD with ten illustrations dating from the 1920's to the 1960's (all shown in the scanned images) ..... CONDITION: With the exception of the date written on the cover, slight discoloration to some inside pages and minor edge wear, this playbill is in excellent condition and will make a wonderful addition to the collection of any musical theatre aficionado or historian.
