SANSUI 8080DB Large Vintage Stereo Receiver with 85 Watts per Channel Excellent Condition Includes Wood Cabinet. The SANSUI 8080DB stereo receiver is considered by many to be one of the top vintage stereo receivers with high quality sound and excellent build quality. The Sansui 8080DB has a strong 85 watts per channel in stereo and can handle down to 4 Ohm speakers so a wide variety of speakers can be used. The 8080DB model has the Dolby Noise Reduction circuit built in used for tape recording and radio. It has the great looking classic looks with a brushed aluminum faceplate, metal knobs, analog tuning display and a walnut wood look vinyl veneer cabinet. The receiver is in nice Excellent exterior condition and is very clean and comes with the original walnut wood look cabinet. The faceplate is in mint condition and the wood cabinet has tiny bit of wear. The receiver has been serviced & tested. I own a Hi-end stereo repair business for the past 36 years. This unit has been gone through completely. 5 lamps replaced, all controls have been cleaned, Capacitators have been tested with a ESR tester and the ones that were bad have been replaced. AM/FM has been checked for proper alignment. Output power has been tested with a IFR spectrum analyzer to check frequency response. Unit has been played with real audio, and with a tone generator. It is in excellent working condition with clean quality sound. The restore was done right before this listing was uploaded. All functions work well including the AM-FM stereo radio. The receiver has inputs for Phono, AUX, 2-Tape and the AUX and Tape inputs can also be used for CD. The receiver has excellent tonal control with Bass, Midrange, and Treble controls. The receiver can connect 3 pairs of speakers and any 2 pairs can be used at the same time as long as the speakers are minimum 8 Ohms. The receiver is very clean internally.
