SCHNEIDER KREUZNACH CONVERTIBLE 210MM F/5.6-370mm f/12 SYMMAR SHUTTER NEEDS WORK

Description: Schneider Kreuznach convertible 210mm F/5.6-370mm f/12 Symmar in a Copal No. 1 shutter. Covers up to 5x7 but most commonly seen on 4x5 cameras. Can be configured to be eitherc a 210mm or a 370mm lens. The glass has no fungus but there is a very small, 1mm or less, band of blue-ish haze around the perimeter of the glass in the front cell right where the glass sits in the barrel. It would not affect photos in any way. There are some minor cleaning marks on the rear cell and the outer lip of the rear cell is bent which can be seen in the photos. It also has very minor shchneider-itis (a flaking or bubbling of the inner coating of the lens barrel. Does not affect performance) which can be seen in the photos. Again a matter of no consequence with regard to usage. The shutter fires at all speeds but the slow speeds are way too fast. The shutter needs servicing which is not a big deal.Comes with non factory caps. I think with a shutter service this would be a solid lens for field use.
