Description: Auction is for the one Grape Krate seat as pictured. Schwinn never had a Grape Krate in production in the 60-70's with their Krate line. In 1999 Schwinn came out with a Coaster Grape Krate, but they had silver glitter seats on them so a lot of people had a Krate style purple seat similar to this one made for them for their Grape Krates. So this is a Persons seat pan which is stamped Persons USA in the pan under the reflector which has been refurbished for a Grape Krate. Pan has the smooth sides, real nice shape with just a few scratches on bottom of the pan. Comes with the two sissy bar seat nut and bolts as shown, there is no seat post clamp on the seat bottom as also shown. I have had this seat a long time and do not remember where or who this one came from. I have never mounted this seat and it looks in my opinion to never have been used. I would say this is a beautiful seat with a few small exceptions which are the very small scratches on the black seat pan, and there are a few areas of the seat that have some dark black type specs/markings. You can see them if you look closely for them, but not a terrible flaw in my opinion. Last photos taken in direct sunlight shows some of the black marks as well as what looks like a run in the color. All that said, I would still put this on a show bike it is such a nice seat. There are no refunds or returns so look at all photos. Sold AS-IS with no warranties made to anything including color/shade of seat, year, marks, model, condition with no returns accepted, so look at the many photos I have posted. Photos are a much better indicator of condition than any written description or my opinion of condition is. Shipped within USA only.
