Uncommon and unusual collectible exaggeration postcard similar to the CLASSIC MR. ROVER LARGE Character cards in Grand Rapids...Howard Furniture billed itself as the "LARGEST HOME OUTFITTING COMPANY IN EASTERN MICHIGAN!" Originally called the Armory at the SW corner of Huron Ave and Superior St. (Park St). Later it would house several businesses with Howard Furniture taking up a good share of the building. This structure is often referred to as the Baer Block, as it was owned by Charles Baer. The building was destroyed by fire in 1922. The last images are supplied for additional reference.
