Description: Seabury 1928 Book of Common Prayer BCP Hymnal Protestant Episcopal Leather 3262XGRW P963 This is a lovely and compact Book of Common Prayer and hymnal according to the 1928 edition for use in the Protestant Episcopal church. Please look closely at the pictures for the certification year for the BCP and the hymnal year if those are important to you, both of which are included in the pictures of the listing. The font is very readable, with large typeface and very little ghosting. It is definitely genuine leather, likely Morocco, as the binding has consistent abrasions to the corners and edges. I found a small split at the bottom of the front cover and a weakened edge at the top of the front corner. The binding is very flexible, the ribbons are in great shape, and the gilding has some minor abrasions. I found no writing anywhere except a single name on a blank intro page. I found scattered, small, evidence of moisture damage, especially at Holy Communion.
