Description: Hard to find Saturday Evening Girls / Paul Revere Pottery 8-3/8" plate with bunny medallion in the center. Hand written 'S.E.G. 7-18' on the back, indicating 1918 as the year of creation. Interesting history to SEG - made by hand in Boston, Mass by immigrant girls in a group guided by a social worker seeking to help educate them and provide them with a skill. Full story on Google! Where would art pottery be without women?! Vibrant colors! Deep cobalt blue band with cream-white interior and 1.25" bunny medallion in center. 'C.B.W.' initials also appear in the medallion. Edged with SEG's distinctive black outlines. The reverse of the bowl is the same off white as the interior, thinner here, with the clay color showing through. 3 typical post marks show on the back. Excellent, clean condition. No damage - no nicks, chips, hairlines, stains or crazing. There are a few tiny bubbles in the thick blue glaze. Not an issue but I like to be extra-accurate. A fantastic addition to your collection or the perfect gift for a pottery collector! It will be packed carefully to arrive safely with full insurance . Please see the matching bowl also listed.
