Description: Seona Dancing (with Ricky Gervais) - More To Lose 1983 UK OOP (Out Of Print) 12” Vinyl/EP/Single containing two tracks: More To Lose (Extended Mix) b/w (backed with) You’re On My Side (Photo #5). "More to Lose" is the debut single by English new wave duo Seona Dancing, released in 1983. It is an uptempo new wave pop song, sung by a then-unknown Ricky Gervais, who was the lyricist and vocalist of the band. Bill Macrae was the band's composer and keyboard player. The song remains virtually unknown in their homeland of the UK, after only peaking at No. 117 on the UK Singles Chart, but found tremendous success in the Philippines in 1985, a year after the band broke up. Comes in a partially intact picture sleeve (Photo #2) with readable portions of the lyrics printed on the back (Photo #3). Vinyl is visually and conservatively graded excellent per Goldmine Grading Guide due to presence of dust particles on both sides (Photos #8 and 9 for Side A which could be contributory to the 3 minimal single soft ticks at the 0:03, 5:04 and 5:59 time marks and could possibly be removed from a careful and expert wash, then Photo #12 for Side B with a hairline scratch in the Matrix / Runout / Dead Wax area and just before it most likely causing the single pop at the 3:03 mark during the fade/end part. A careful and expert vinyl wash will make both sides much shinier and visual grade can very much improve to near mint. Photos #6-12 were taken directly under a fluorescent lamp. NM/M Play Grade/Test for majority of the time. Please see below for specific details. Both tracks were listened to from start to finish. No skips/jumps nor repeats (needle getting stuck in the groove). Condition is "Used". Album cover graded G due to front bottom left middle/front right bottom section/corner brown stains (Photo #2), inside bottom of album cover brown stains (Photo #5), front left bottom corner cover tear/rip (Photo #2), front bottom left/middle cover tear/rip (Photo #2), front bottom edge tear/rip (Photo #2), back left side/column brown stains and cover tear/rip (Photos #3 and 4), back left top tear/rip (Photos #3 and 4) and about close to an inch tear/rip with two little holes/openings in the bottom album cover.
