The glass is smooth on the inside or serving part of the bowl.The outside part has textured or raised areas where the fruit and leaves are.They measure about 7" across the longest part, 6" across at the shortest part and about 2" tall.I purchased them new about 20 years ago and I am not a entertainer like I thought I would be. They where only used a few times for ice cream.They are beautiful and nothing wrong with them. They were gently used. No cracks or chips.
