Description: An SGC graded NM 7 - 1936 S & S Game card of Vernon "Vern" Kennedy of the Chicago White Sox. The S & S Game set was sold as a deck featuring game cards with black & white pictures of 52 different players (including many Hall of Famers) and instruction cards. The cards can be found with either green backs or cream-colored backs, that are sometimes referred to as "tan" backs. The "tan" back variations seem to be more difficult to find, and as a result can command premiums over the green back variations. This particular card has the green back. This example has no creasing, bold printing, nice focus, excellent centering and bright borders. The corners are consistent with those found on most NM-MT/NM-MT+ examples. The back is bright and clean. This a very sharp looking card for the grade that would not look out of place in an SGC 8 or maybe even an SGC 8.5 holder.
