Description: Sharon Tate - Hand Signed B&W Photograph + COA measuring at approximately 8 x 9 3/4. In very good condition with two light dings. One on the top right corner edge, a slight crease. The other, on the right edge, just very light ding(s). This item was signed by Sharon Tate at a 1967 movie premiere and was obtained by a studio guest at the event. The autograph is in blue pen, which was running low but still managed to produce a beautiful signature, though Sharon clearly had some difficulty with the pen. The item had one previous owner, the same studio guest who acquired numerous autographs from that time period, and it was passed on to me by his children after his passing. One of my favorite pieces in my collection! Sharon Tate was an American actress and model who became an iconic figure of 1960s Hollywood. Born on January 24, 1943, in Dallas, Texas, she began her career as a beauty pageant contestant and model before transitioning into acting. Her natural beauty and magnetic screen presence quickly garnered attention, leading to roles in popular films such as Valley of the Dolls (1967) and The Fearless Vampire Killers (1967), directed by her future husband, Roman Polanski. Tate’s career was on the rise, and she was known not only for her talent but also for her charm and grace, which made her a favorite among her peers. She embodied the free-spirited essence of the 1960s and was often seen at the center of Hollywood’s social scene. Her marriage to Polanski in 1968 cemented her status as one of the most glamorous stars of the time. Tragically, her life was cut short when she became a victim of the infamous Manson Family murders in August 1969. At just 26 years old and eight months pregnant, Tate's death sent shockwaves through Hollywood and the world. Though her life and career were brief, Sharon Tate's legacy endures. She remains a symbol of beauty, talent, and the promise of a rising star whose potential was never fully realized. Over the years, she has become a cult figure, remembered for her grace, warmth, and the poignant tragedy of her life.
