Located on the site of the historic Confederate Powder Works, the mill is a unique example of a 19th-century utilitarian structure designed in an eclectic architectural style. The mill has adapted to new technology and continued to enlarge the plant, additions and alterations trying to keep the original building's architectural integrity.
