About an inch and a half deep, when attached to your NEX/E Mount camera, the entire rig is easily pocketed or put in a purse. You will notice better image quality in terms of sharpness and reduced distortion when compared to your standard zoom lens. At f/2.8, you have a lens well suited for lower light natural photography as well, and more control over image bokeh. The 30mm focal length translates to a standard 45mm wide angle on film – great for candid photos and discrete urban shooting. This lens (S/N 503445xx) is in mint condition showing no signs of wear. The lens looks brand new and even the hood and caps look great. Optics are nice – no defects to the glass, a snappy aperture and smooth focus. No fungus or haze inside the glass.
