Description: Sir Robert Stawell Ball [1840 1913] was a noted Irish astronomer who contributed to the science of kinematics and founded the screw theory in 1876. Listed for auction is a [ALS] autograph letter signed by Sir Robert Stawell Ball on the letterhead of Observatory Cambridge and dated 29 Nov 92. The letter is signed ''Yours truly Robert S. Ball'' in black fountain pen. The letter one page folded [two sides] measures 7.25 x 4.50 inches, it has expected mail folds and trivial toning/pin hole otherwise it is in fine condition.
