Description: SUMMARY: A beautiful diamond engagement ring made by the Newark, New Jersey, maker Whitehouse Brothers. The ring is crafted in platinum and centers on a sparkling, round, brilliant-cut diamond. The glittering diamond weighs approximately 1.03ct and displays G.I.A. J color and SI1 clarity. Six, non-graduated .08ct diamonds flank the sides of the ring, with three on each side (“fishtail” heads). The ring tapers into a smooth, polished band and has "PLAT” and the Whitehouse Bros. “W” hallmarks stamped on one side of the shank; on the other side, the ring is marked "10% IRID." The ring was appraised in 2000 by an independent, accredited G.I.A.-certified gemologist with a stated retail replacement value of $6,675.00. It has since been stored and unworn.
