Description: This lovely glass bottle -- with its original cork lid -- was made by Skeem Design to hold 4" matches. The matches are long gone, but strike-on-bottle flint patch pioneered by Skeem is in excellent shape and appears to have barely been used. Opposite the flint patch is the alchemical symbol for fire, elegantly screenprinted onto the glass. The bottle has some sawdusty remnants of the original matches inside; I'm sure with some gentle cleaning these could be removed if you wanted to use the bottle for something creative or decorative! The bottle has no chips, cracks, or flaws that I was able to find. The original Skeem Designs price tag ($28) is still on the bottom of the jar. The cork fits snugly and shows no signs of cracking or crumbling. When the cork is removed, the bottle smells slightly sulfuric due to the matches that were originally inside.
