Description: This 1940’s Smith Corona Sterling portable typewriter is a treasure that has survived through the ages. The Sterling was the middle line typewriter that had a most of the features found in portable typewriters like tabulator and back space, what was missing was the sound dampening felt in the top of the line Silent series. These were some of the last typewriters with glass keys.Mechanically, this typewriter is in great shape. The keys strike as they should without sticking. Other functions such as , tab, and backspace are working. The typewriter is in excellent nearly antique condition. The case is worn with one closing lock bent out of shape The case has protected the typewriter beautifully.
