Description: This vintage USSR Banner was made in Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic in 1966. It was awarded to the printing factory ''October'', winner of Socialist Competition in the honor of XXIII CPSU Congress. On the front it has portrait of Lenin and the embroidered writing in the Ukrainian language ''Under the guidance of the Communist party we are moving ahead to the victory of Communism''. Please note that the portrait of Lenin is COMPLETELY HAND EMBROIDERED (it is very intricate embroidery); to see this amazing work you need to look on the Lenin's face, mustache, his eyes under strong magnifying glass!!!!!! All letters and leaves around Lenin's portrait are also embroidered (see details). On the backside the banner has intricately embroidered emblem of Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic. It also has embroidered writing ''From Regional Communist Party Committee Shevchenko district and Executive Committee to the printing factory '' October'', winner of Socialist Competition in the honor of XXIII CPSU Congress ''. The banner is made out of two layers of heavy velvet. It has golden fringes from three sides. Size is 66x51'' (without fringes). Extremely rare piece. Excellent vintage condition.
