Description: An excellent specimen of gem grade Spodumene, "yellow Kunzite", or called "Triphane", as a variety. There is a clean cleavage plane on one side of the crystal, but overall the crystal is in great condition, not to mention large for the species, with good transparency and a nice "straw yellow" color, which reminds a bit fo the color on certain Scapolites on the market...(although of course the shape and size conclusively ID's it as Afghanistan Spodumene..). Impressive crystal! This crystal is 513 grams in weight, or 1 lb and 2 1/8 oz. The size is 5 inch x 2.5 inch x 1.2 inch. Please be advised, I ship with Ground Advantage.
